WHO IS DION PRINTS?
Dion Prints is a multimedia artist living and working in Ottawa, ON. As a Black artist, her main goal is to artistically showcase Black Canadian culture in their natural, purest and joyful elements. As a way to express herself, she includes scannography, collage techniques and spray painting forming a new language.
At a young age, she taught herself the art of video editing and photography. She attended a technology concentrated program at École Catholique Secondaire Garneau which inspired her to further her skills in photography on her own. Dion considers herself as a multimedia artist as she incorporates scannography, graffiti and spray painting to her art practice. Her work, titled “Element of Joy”, was published in RAW Zine – 003 (2021) by Ottawa design club.
